La Tortuga in Walldorf

For years we have been going to La Tortuga every now and then, often for birthday dinners. Not once were we disappointed in terms of the quality and taste of the food or the friendliness of the staff. On the contrary, we always went home completely satisfied. Today we had ordered paella to take away: excellent! The cocktails are also highly recommended in summer.

We have ordered a table for 4 people for the evening. Once there, everything was dark. It was closed. On the door there was only a sign "closed today for repairs" You can imagine or not what that means now. Even if something came up, they had my phone number and could have called! Too bad.

Great restaurant with a wide variety of tapas at an affordable price. Friendly staff. Pleasant ambience both inside and outside. Careful implementation of the Corona guidelines.

Delicious selection, very fine paella, pleasant service! There is a single small point deduction for the porcelain from the starter plate, which had its best days long behind it 😉

An out and out spanish restaurant. There's a variety of food options and a variety of drink options. Platters can be customised. However, the quantity of food is pretty less. Though they tell one platter can be sufficient for 2 people, it's perfect only for one person. Rooftop tables are amazing.

The curried shrimp we're delicious, the pork steak with cheese and tomato sauce was amazing, and a great house salad! The service was impeccable as well and the space is gorgeous.

No Spanish cuisine, product quality more or less. Extremely high price for quality.

Some of the staff weren't friendly at all: especially the older waitress(es) and the bar lady were quite rude. Prices a bit high for good - but not outstanding - food.

Rump steak was great, and so was the service.
